O Shri Krishna! You created us and all that exists, gave us everything but never demanded anything of us in return. But still we do not love You. We have forgotten You and are all unaware of Your glories. Intoxicated by Your deluding potency, Maya, we challange Your existence. (Mis)using the freedom You have given us, we insensitively try to blaspheme You. How preposterous! But You never get angry. You still love us insignificant souls. The shrutis, therefore, declare that You are the TRUE and ONLY relative of every soul—You are our mother, You are our father, You are our brother, You are our friend and well-wisher, and You are our ONE and ONLY refuge.
Indebted to You for Your causeless mercy, I offer at Your Lotus Feet these frivolous and insincere musings and pray that You bestow Your 'Para Bhakti' on us all and guide us towards Your path.

ReplyDeleteI am a student of Vaishnav Philosophy.The thoughts I have articulated in my blog are very basic to the philosophy of Bhakti Maarg.I have just, ineptly, put into my own words the timeless truth which is the foundation of dainya bhaav;and dainya is the prerequisite for progressing on the path of Bhakti.
All that I have learnt from my Guru is a vast ocean of knowlegde( love), of which these thoughts are but a small and important part.
